Social media management

Social media that makes people trust you, then message you.

Before they call, most people check your Instagram or Facebook. I plan, create and post for you, so your profile looks active, local and trustworthy, and messages don't get missed.

  1. 1A month of posts, planned and approved by you
  2. 2Made for you: photos, short videos and captions
  3. 3Posted on time, every week, without you thinking about it
  4. 4Messages answered, enquiries passed straight to you

Illustration with a made-up business.

What social media does for a local business.

It's rarely where people first find you. It's where they decide whether to trust you.

"Let me check their Instagram first…"

Trust before the call

People look you up after a Google search, a flyer or a friend's tip. An active profile with real work says "they're good, and they're still trading".

Fix: regular posts of real jobs and real people.
"Oh, that's the plumber from down the road."

Staying in mind

Most people don't need you today. Seeing you every week means you're the one they remember when they do.

Fix: a steady plan, not bursts when you remember.
"Do you cover Headingley?"

Easy conversations

Many people would rather send a quick message than call. Fast, friendly replies turn those into bookings.

Fix: messages checked daily and passed to you.

Want to reach new people quickly? That's what ads do. Social media and Meta ads work best together.

People decide in seconds. Switch between before and after to see the five things I fix first.

  1. 1
A clear profile photoA blurry photo or no logo.Your logo or your face, easy to see small.
  2. 2
A bio that says what and where"Welcome to our page!!" says nothing. What you do, where, and a reason to get in touch.
  3. 3
Contact buttonsNo way to call or book from the profile.Message, call and book, one tap away.
  4. 4
Highlights that answer questionsNothing pinned, so people have to ask.Reviews, prices, areas and past jobs.

What I do each month.

You run your business. I keep your social media going, and you approve the plan first.

Step 1 of 5

Plan

A plan means you're never posting "something" just because it's Tuesday.

What I do

  • A monthly content calendarEvery post, every date, for you to approve.
  • A healthy mixReal work, tips, people, reviews and the odd offer.
  • Seasons and local eventsWinter boilers, summer gardens, local news.

You getThe full month to check before anything goes live.

What I measure, and what I don't chase.

A big follower count looks good. It doesn't always mean more customers.

Reach

How many local people saw your posts.

Saves and shares

Posts useful enough to keep or send to a friend.

Profile visits and taps

People checking you out, tapping call or your link.

Messages and enquiries

The number that matters most to your business.

Followers alone

Useful, but never the goal. I'll never buy followers.

Common social media mistakes.

Six things that quietly put customers off, and the fix for each.

Posting only when you remember

Months of silence make people wonder if you're still open.

A simple plan you can keep up.

Only selling, never helping

Offer after offer, and people stop looking.

Mostly useful posts, the odd offer.

Slow replies to messages

By the time you answer, they've booked someone else.

Messages checked daily, enquiries passed on.

Stock photos

They look like every other business.

Real jobs, real team, taken on a phone.

Same post, every size

Cut-off text in Stories, tiny words in Reels.

Each post sized for where it's shown.

Buying followers

Fake followers never become customers.

Grow slowly, with real local people.

Quick answers.

Short and honest.

  1. Mainly Facebook and Instagram, where most local customers are. If your customers are businesses, LinkedIn may suit you better. I'll suggest what fits, rather than being everywhere.

  2. Usually a few times a week, plus Stories. A rhythm you can keep up beats bursts of posting followed by silence. We agree the number when we plan.

  3. No, but it helps. People like to see who they'll be dealing with. If you'd rather not, photos of your work, your team or your hands on the job work well too.

  4. Usually not on its own. It builds trust and keeps you in mind over months. For enquiries soon, pair it with Meta ads or Google Ads.

  5. I reply to simple questions like hours and areas, using answers you've agreed. Anything about prices, bookings or complaints comes straight to you.

  6. Yes. You see the whole month before it goes live, and you can change anything. Once you're happy with the style, most clients just check the plan.

  7. You do. Your Page, your Instagram and all your posts stay yours. You give me access, and you can remove it at any time.

  8. It depends on how many posts and platforms you need, and whether I handle messages. After a quick chat, I'll send a clear monthly price.

Let's start with a hello.

Fill in the blanks. I'll reply to you myself.
